1. Description

MQ2-CO-φ14*14 is the sensor of fuel battery type. By redox reaction, CO and Orelease charge and form the current. The value of current is proportional to the concentration of CO, and follow Faradays Law. By testing the value of current, the concentration of CO is known.

6.Precautions for use:

1. Leads can be welded during installation, but solder is prohibited from contacting the sensor;

2. Aging time before use is not less than 48 hours;

3. Please do not disassemble the sensor at will;

4. Avoid contact between the sensor and organic solvents (including silicone rubber and other adhesives), paints, pharmaceuticals, fuel oils and high-concentration gases;

5. All electrochemical sensors cannot be completely encapsulated with resin materials, nor can they be immersed in an oxygen-free environment for a long time, otherwise the performance of the sensor will be damaged;

6. All electrochemical sensors cannot be used in an environment containing corrosive gases for a long time, as corrosive gases will damage the sensor;

7. When measuring the zero point of gas, it must be done in a clean atmosphere;

8. When testing and applying the sensor, vertical air intake from the front must be avoided;

9. The air intake hole of the sensor must not be blocked or contaminated;

10. The sensor must not be subjected to excessive impact or vibration;

11. Do not use if the shell is damaged or deformed;

12. It takes a long time for the sensor to recover to its initial state after long-term use in a high-concentration gas environment;

13. The working electrode and the counter electrode should be in a short-circuit state when the sensor is stored;

14. It is forbidden to encapsulate the sensor with hot melt adhesive or sealant with a curing temperature above 80°C;

15. It is forbidden to store and use it in high-concentration alkaline gas for a long time.

Regardless of whether the sensor is powered on or not, long-term exposure to extreme conditions such as high humidity, high temperature or high pollution will seriously affect the performance of the sensor.
