Air pollution is ubiquitous, and no matter where you live, it's inescapable. The pollutant that most impacts people is particulate matter. As we all know, atmospheric particulate matter (PM) is a general term for various solid and liquid particulate matter present in the atmosphere. It's often abbreviated as PM and used as a measure of air pollution.
On September 22, 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) released the Global Air Quality Guidelines (AQG2021). In terms of guideline values, the AQG 2021 version tightened the annual average values of PM2.5 and PM10, setting the annual average value of PM2.5 to 5μg/m³ and the annual average value of PM10 to 15μg/m³.
Given this, accurate PM2.5 detection has become increasingly important. Laser dust sensors use a laser LED as a light source. When fine particles in the air are pushed into the laser beam by a constant-current fan, the laser light scatters. A photodetector is positioned appropriately to receive only the scattered light. The photoelectric effect of the photodetector generates an electrical signal, which, after amplification by a circuit, is used to determine the fine particle concentration.
Tensensor's independently developed and manufactured TZJ06 is a universal, miniaturized laser dust sensor module. Based on the Mie scattering principle, it utilizes specialized algorithms and calibration techniques to detect dust particles in the air.
