1. What causes zero point and sensitivity drift during the use of semiconductor gas sensors?
The main reasons for zero point V0 and sensitivity drift are:
⑴ The aging time is short, and the aging is not carried out according to the time specified in the gas sensor manual;
⑵ The environment atmosphere of the gas sensor is complex, which affects the zero point and sensitivity;
⑶ The temperature and humidity conditions of the gas sensor fluctuate greatly, causing the zero point and sensitivity
drift of the sensor to be large (for example, it is not calibrated under standard working conditions but works under
extreme conditions);
⑷ The gas sensor is not connected to the circuit according to the conditions specified in the manual;
⑸ The gas sensor is subjected to severe vibration or destructive external conditions.
2. What causes the sensitivity of semiconductor gas sensors to attenuate during use?
(1) Organic silicon, sulfide, phosphide, chlorine (fluoride), alkali metals, etc. can poison the sensor;
(2) The gas sensor power supply voltage has changed;
(3) The gas sensor has been used for too long (exceeding its service life);
(4) The test gas concentration is too high;
(5) The gas sensor is impacted by high-concentration lighter gas.
3. What causes the early and late alarms during the use of semiconductor sensors?
⑴ Zero point or sensitivity drift occurs (see question 1 for the reason);
⑵ Selection of calibration points and standardization of the calibration process;
⑶ The whole machine is not well protected (severe vibration or harsh environment or large fluctuations in power
supply voltage or harsh storage environment);
⑷ The whole machine has been in storage for too long without re-aging and calibration
