The MQ-E2-O2 oxygen gas detection sensor is a galvanic cell type electrochemical sensor. It utilizes the reduction reaction of oxygen at the working electrode and the corresponding oxidation reaction at the counter electrode to generate current. The magnitude of the current is directly proportional to the oxygen concentration, and the oxygen concentration can be determined by measuring the magnitude of the current.
